An American “haunted house” is so scary that visitors must sign a 40-page waiver – and provide proof of their medical insurance, writes Ladbible.
Suppose you manage to get through a visit without screaming your chosen “safety word,” which brings the whole thing to an end. In that case, you’ll walk away with the $20,000 price in your pocket.
However, McKamey Manor prides itself on the fact that no one has ever completed the horrific experience.
Russ McKamey, who owns the haunted house in California, charges a bag of dog food for one of his 5 pups as an entrance fee. Recently, he came up with a new theme called “Desolation” – and at the time of writing, no one has even dared to try it.
Crazy requirements
Probably as a result of the horrible pictures – which give a hint of what awaits inside.
“With the new mental game, it’s much more difficult. And because of that, no one’s even started the clock,” Russ McKamey told WGNTV.
If you feel compelled to take on the terrifying challenge, you must be at least 21 years old. If you are between 18 and 20, the parents’ signature is required as approval. You should also be able to show a doctor’s certificate that states you are feeling well both physically and mentally.
The staff will do a background check on you, conduct a telephone interview, and guide you through the lengthy process before you can take on the challenge. And right before you step into this nest of horror, you’ll need to pass a drug and sobriety test.

Another requirement is to watch a film called “And Then There Were None,” a 2-hour-long video of previous challengers who failed to make it through the haunted house.
Russ McKamey says he has spent over $1,000,000 getting it all exactly the way he wants it – and from the pictures, it looks insane.
