Is there anything more fun than playing a prank on someone you know?
It may be ridiculous or childish to deceive someone for a few laughs – but as long as you don’t take it too far, everyone should have a laugh at the end.
That’s just the best – when a shared fun moment becomes a treasured memory. Especially if you are with people who can laugh at themselves.
Maureen Pritchard loves shopping online. Sometimes she goes a bit too far, at least if you ask her husband Rob.
Because of that, she decided to pull one of the best pranks we’ve heard in a while.
Saved all the Amazon boxes
For the past 6 months, Maureen saved every box she received home whenever she bought something in Amazon. However, she hid the boxes so the husband couldn’t see them. In addition, the wife asked all her loved ones to join in and save all their boxes, so she could get together as many Amazon boxes as possible.
So on the 1st of April, for April Fools’, she put her plan into action. While Rob was at work, Maureen put on all the boxes she collected during the past 6 months outside of their door. Soon, it looked like she had made the biggest purchase on the history of Amazon.
When Rob arrived home and saw the boxes he immediately thought his wife had gone crazy – he was furious. At least for a bit. In the clip that Maureen filmed from inside the house, you can see how he stands and glances at the giant pile – and just throws his hands up in disbelief.
Immediately after he asked Maureen what she’d done, she told him it was just a joke.
“What did she do now?”
However, Rob didn’t believe it until he opened the boxes and confirmed they were all empty.
“What was going through my head was ‘Oh my gosh, what did she do now?” he told CBS.
The couple got a good laugh and the Facebook post from Maureen went viral. The users seem to agree – this was a hilarious and smart prank!
