Something I can not get enough of is brainteasers. Puzzles and challenges have been with me since childhood – and I don’t think it will stop anytime soon. It’s a form of relaxation, something fun that is also good for my brain.
Every time I talk with my grandchildren through Facetime, we try to have a few puzzles ready to share with each other. It can be anything from a new illusion challenge from the web to old riddles or even math problems. I’m happy I get to share such moments with them even during this difficult situation.
In a world where modern technology will soon take care of everything for us, I think it makes sense to try to keep the mind in shape with proper exercise.
I came across this fun picture puzzle when I was looking around online earlier today. I found it on didyouknowpage.com and had to think long and hard before finding the answer.
Apparently, only 1 in 5 people in the country can come with the answer immediately, quite a challenge!
What is wrong with this picture of London?
In a picture of the English capital of London. We can see, among other things, the famous Big Ben, a traditional red bus, some cars, and a telephone booth. Everything seems normal. However, something is very, very wrong – and your job is to find out what.
I can tell you that it takes some actual knowledge about the country to realize what is strange about the picture. If I reveal more than that, it might get too easy, but I think that most people are aware of what’s needed to figure out the answer!
Can you see what is wrong with the image?
If you haven’t found the answer – take another look.
As a tip, I can say that it is very relevant that this picture takes place in England. The laws there are not the same as in America when it comes to certain things.
Was it easier now?
Well – time to report the answer!
The correct answer is that the cars are driving on the wrong side of the road. Unlike The United States, where we drive on the right side of the road, England traffic passes on the left side. In the picture, they are driving on the right side, which is wrong.
To solve this puzzle, you need to know about the traffic laws in England.
However, there are several other errors, some people claim – in addition to the above. The taxi should have a yellow license plate at the back. There should 2 lines between the lanes, the bus should have its number and final destination on display as it has passengers, and the telephone booth should have 8 rows of glass – not 10.
Bonus challenge
You know what? I think we should do a second puzzle!
Here is a picture of 2 camels in the desert. However, something is wrong again. Can you see what?
Yes, focus all your senses.
Did you find the answer?
If not, don’t worry, we are here to help you out!
As the sun is on in the background, you should see shadows projecting into the ground. It’s quite easy to miss the absent shadows. Quite a clever trick!
