Having children is one of life’s best experiences. You and your partner bring to this world a new human being that will make you proud no matter what.
However, the first few years can be a bumpy ride, especially for the mom, and the hardest is right after the baby is born.
Sleep is a luxury for a new mother, which sometimes is hard for the father to understand. After all, he need not breastfeed the baby at night.
This man, Kris, wondered why his wife Mattea was so tired all the time. But instead of using words, she sat down and drew him an amazing visual explanation.
As a new mother, sleep is a distant memory. The baby needs to be fed, put to bed, changed and comforted throughout the nights. When the child gets hungry in the middle of the night during breastfeeding, the mom has to get up and tend to her baby.
“Could not find the words”
Kris, Mattea’s husband, wondered why his wife was so tired and grumpy all the time.
“So this past weekend I was having a hard time finding the words (probably because I haven’t had any sleep) to express to Kris why I’m not in the best of moods first thing in the morning. So I sat down with my coffee and drew him a visual “ she wrote on her Facebook page.
Thousands of moms laugh
The drawings are accurate and have been received with laughter from thousands of new moms that can relate to the situation.
The first picture shows the family sleeping, but you can see an arrow pointing to the man’s nipples with the text “useless nipples”.
Two hours later, the baby cries.
The mother brings her into bed and starts breastfeeding. The father continues sleeping.
“I have to cut her nails”, the mother thinks while the dad sleeps with his “still useless nipples”. The baby pukes and mom has to clean it up.
She then gets the child to fall back to sleep next to her, but the baby’s kicks keep her up. The father continues sleeping, he now has all the covers for himself.
Morning comes, mom is freezing and tired while dad and his worthless nipples finally wake up and decide they want to cuddle.
