New research confirms: Drinking red wine every day helps you lose weight

There are many of us who like to drink a glass of red wine with the food, or just enjoy one on the couch, or… well, drink red wine often. A few drinks, after all, when shared with loved ones, are a beautiful thing!

Over the years, various myths have emerged saying that a glass of red wine a day prolongs your life, but that’s something a little hard to believe in.

Now, however, a study brings wonderful news – a glass of red wine before a meal can eventually help us lose some weight.

Yes, it sounds too good to be true, but not only is red wine delicious – according to research at Washington State University and Harvard Medical School, it also contains a polyphenol called resveratrol.

Simply put, these types of chemicals increase gene expression that enhances the oxidation of dietary fats so the body won’t be overloaded.

Reduces the feeling of hunger

But what does that really mean? Well, according to the study, it converts white fat into beige fat, helping to prevent obesity and metabolic dysfunction, according to the site gosocial.

This fantastic antioxidant also helps to reduce the feeling of hunger, which means a lesser food intake. In other words, a glass of wine before a meal can prevent us from having that extra portion.

Do not drink in excess

Of course, it’s common sense that excessive consumption of alcohol is not good for us, nothing in excess is, so drink with moderation – but according to these studies, one can indulge in a glass of red wine a day. It’s even good for us, if we don’t drink too much, that is.
