Sausage with mashed potatoes is a classic dish that’s loved all over the world. But things don’t always go according to plan.
Swedish Christian got to experience that first-hand as he got home from the store and opened the packaging of his porky purchase, as reported by GöteborgDirekt.
Gothenburg resident Christian got a good laugh when he opened the packaging to prepare his lunch. What he found was an unusually saucy sausage.
“Didn’t know what to think”
Despite his sausage being somewhat deformed, Christian carried on with preparing his lunch.
“I didn’t know what to think, it wasn’t at all what I was expecting. But I fried it and ate it with some potatoes, salad and mustard. It tasted good,” he says to GöteborgDirekt.
“Everything can happen”
Lithells, the company that made the sausage, says that this specific product should never have seen the light of day.
“What’s happened here is that the casing has burst and the filling has been pressed out. When this occurs, the sausage is supposed to be removed from production and should not reach vendors. We encourage the consumer to contact us for compensation to buy a new product,” Lithells manager Sara Andersson says to GöteborgDirekt.
However, Christian took the phallic incident in stride.
“I’m not upset or dissatisfied in any way. Everything can happen when you’re making sausage,” Christian says.
