Toddlers are so cute! Despite the fact that they can cross their arms, be stubborn and demand both the cake and the eating, they are also a source of inspiration and laughter.
When you are a toddler, you have no social filters, unlike us adults, and speak whatever’s on your mind – regardless of the situation.
A child’s logic differs from our own. And this fictional, funny story about a three-year-old sitting on the toilet proves how wonderful it can be.
A colleague sent it to me the other day, and I thought it was so lovely and whimsical that I wanted to share it with you – remember to pass it on if you enjoy it!
Three-year-old Billy is sitting on the toilet to do a “number two”. With him, in the toilet, he has a small picture book he is peeking through. But every ten seconds he puts down the book, grabs the toilet seat with one hand, and hits himself on the head with the other hand.
“What’s taking you so long?”
His mother, who is delighted that Billy started going to the toilet on his own, is getting a little nervous since her beloved son is taking too long in there.
Almost 20 minutes pass by, and the mother knocks anxiously on the door.
“Honey, what’s taking you so long? You’ve been in there for quite a while now.”
Billy answers:
“I’m okay mom, but I haven’t pooped yet.”
“Why do you hit your head?”
The mother is still worried and opens the door to check on the kid.
He sits quietly on the toilet with his book, puts it down and then smacks the top of his head with one hand.
“But Billy, you have been sitting there for a while, and why do you hit your head?” asks his confused mother.
Then Billy answers like it‘s the most obvious thing in the world.
“It works on the ketchup!”
