Fashion is never easy. It feels like trends come and go without giving you time to even understand them. One day clothes are so tight there is nothing left to the imagination, and the next day they are so loose people have to hold them in place with their hands.
With shoes, it’s precisely the same, trends come and go in the blink of an eye, but the question is whether or not this new heel shoe trend is the worst we’ve seen so far.
It combines traditional sneakers with high heels, reports The Sun.
Shoe fashion has changed a lot since in the past 100 years, and it is natural for trends to come and go. What’s popular today won’t be tomorrow, but it might be trendy again in 30 years.
Sneakers – with high heels
Romanian designer Ancuta Sarca, who lives in London, developed her own shoe style. Which makes me wonder if we may have hit a wall in shoe fashion.
She transformed old sneakers into heel shoes.
It all started when Ancuta realized that she had a lot of old sneakers lying around.
“I wanted to place trainers in a different landscape to give them a completely new function – elegant and feminine by pushing the boundaries of what they can become. Why Nike? I always loved the aesthetics. It has a huge role in sportswear history, and the logo looks rather funny and unexpected on heels,” Ancuta told Vice.
Mixed reactions
Ancuta has posted several pictures of her creations on social media, where opinions about her new fashion are divided.
On the one hand, Ancuta has thousands of followers online who find appreciation for the “innovative” shoe style.
On the other hand, others don’t really understand when and where these shoes could have practical use.
