These days, a lot of people are discussing whether cell phones should be allowed in schools.
Kids go to school to learn new things – and cell phones can be incredibly distracting. Sure, students are free to do what they want during recess, but I don’t see the point of having cell phones in the class room.
Playing around with phones is disrespectful to the teacher who is there for the kid’s sake, and it can bother the students who really want to focus and learn.
In most places, it’s up to each school whether they want to allow cell phones, but some states and countries are now introducing large-scale bans, such as France.
In some countries, classroom distractions are taken very seriously, especially in cultures who put extra emphasis on respecting your teachers and your elders.
