April is a wonderful month. The heat is slowly but surely starting to come back, and you can finally wear lighter clothing. You finally start seeing the sun after finishing work, and the days just feel more cheerful overall.
Another benefit of April is the pranks. Admittedly, they only happen through April 1st, but the videos and reactions from that day give us enough laughter for the rest of the month.
Perhaps one of the world’s most viral clips – which has amassed over 60 million views – comes from a college classroom in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The clip is an emotional rollercoaster and something everyone must see!
Stephen Barrows is a professor of economics at Aquinas College. At one point in time, he got tired of the students’ phones ringing during his lessons. So he put a policy in place that whenever a phone started ringing, the owner must answer it on speakerphone.
Positive pregnancy test results
On the eventful day of this video, Taylor Nefcy’s mobile suddenly started ringing.
The teacher, enforcing his policy, told her to answer on speakerphone so that everyone could hear the conversation.
“Hello, is this Ms. Nefcy?” the conversation begins. After she answers affirmatively, the caller continues: “Hi, this is Kevin from the Pregnancy Resource Center. Per your request, I’m calling you to inform you that the pregnancy test results have come back positive. Congratulations!”
Professor Stephen immediately regrets his policy and tells the student she can turn off the speakerphone, but the conversation seems to continue regardless.
“I know you told us the father is no longer in the picture, but we will be in contact with you throughout this process,” said the person calling.
The teacher cannot hide his regret and sincerely apologies. She then says that it’s okay since she was expecting this call about the pregnancy test.
“They really fooled me”
She even knows what she’s gonna name the baby:
“The first name will be April, and the middle name will be Fools…”
When the teacher understands what’s happening – he lets out a laugh of relief. He praises the prank and learns that everything has been filmed, he takes the whole thing very well.
“They really fooled me,” he told Michigan Live.
