Dealing with twins can be confusing to say the least. I remember back in elementary school, two of my classmates were sisters. They looked almost identical, and they had very similar personalities.
It wasn’t until 2-3 semesters later that we could easily tell them apart. Usually, you had to rely on small details and differences in their appearance to conclude which one of them you were speaking to.
This can lead to some pretty hilarious situations, and the two sisters in my class used to mess with their parents and “switch roles” every now and then. That their mother and father had a hard time keeping track of who was who says a lot about how tricky it can be.
Over time, twins’ personalities and looks will diverge more and more, but if you don’t know them well, you’ll still get confused.
Meet for the first time
The clip below is a great example of precisely that. More than 22 million people have now watched Michael’s and Stephen Ratpojanakul’s prank. Michael has recently had a son, but since the twins live in different cities, little Reed hasn’t met his uncle – until now.
Now watch as the bewildered baby notices the similarity between his Dad and the mystical second man. The brothers take turns in holding the confused and fascinated toddler, and they even take turns wearing glasses. Little Reed doesn’t know what to think!
