In today’s society, there are very high beauty standards set in place. Which is kind of unnecessary, in my opinion. However, I am aware that these ideas shape most people’s lives – perhaps it is inevitable to escape this idea of human perfection.
If you, like me, have chosen not to follow outdated “rules” – such as women must have long and smooth silky hair, or that men should have a six-pack and wear a suit everywhere. I agree entirely, but that’s it, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Shaming or harassing someone else because they don’t think the same is not only selfish but incredibly close-minded.
On the contrary, daring to go against peer pressure is a sign of strength in my book.
However, many people are stuck in an old way of thinking, believing there are specific guidelines to each gender, and we must follow them if we want others to find us attractive.
Alexander’s list
The man from our story today is such a person. He has gone viral for sharing a list of 12 rules he thinks a woman should follow to be “a beautiful woman.”
The man, named Alexander Cortes, claims that his points can help men choose the right woman – and the goal is then for someone to follow as many parts of his list as possible.

I personally think that Alexander is full of crap. Of course, no one gets to tell others how to live – regardless of their sex, ethnicity, or background. Before Alexander writes another list, he should try to develop a common sense. However, it’s a relief to witness the massive backlash that this tweet has received from people worldwide.
We would like to point out that we are NOT, in any shape or form, responsible for this man’s stupidity!

– Have long hair
– Wear make-up
– Be feminine
– Have grace
– Be Sensual
– Shave (should without saying)

He also said, according to The Mirror:
“You can use this list to vet women. If you show them this list and they become angry, that lets you know that they are harpies that you never want to breed with and that they would be terrible mothers.”
Of course, most people think the whole thing is too stupid to be true, and even if it is, giving no attention to this kind of behavior is the best solution. However, Alexander claims his thoughts on “a beautiful woman” are genuine.
People online are not happy with him – because the contents of the list are misogyny in its purest form. It reminds the world of how much work is left to be done.
