First, we have to calculate the number inside the parentheses, 9 + 3 = 12. After that, our problem looks like this: 48 ÷ 2 (12).
Then we remove the parentheses and add a multiplication sign: 48 ÷ 2 x 12.
Then we solve the problem from left to right, which results in 288.
