Everyone knows who Greta Thunberg is. The 16-year-old climate activist that took the world by storm – praised by one world leader after another. No matter what you think of what this young Swede, the truth is that she is an example to follow.
Lately, however, an image is spreading online making people wonder if she’s actually a time traveler…
The legend says that every single person on this planet has a doppelganger somewhere. Whether you believe in it or not is, of course, up to you – but it seems that Greta Thunberg definitely has had one.

In a black-and-white image that, according to the site Metro, comes from the University of Washington’s archive – and shows three children working at a gold mine in the Canadian Yukon Territory in 1898 – you can see… Greta Thunberg!
The picture is thus 121 years old and the girl to the left is actually scarily similar to the Swedish climate activist.
Could it be that the 16-year-old Swede is a time traveler?
Well, of course not – but the photo keeps confusing thousands online to this day.

Some claim that the image may be fake. We cannot guarantee that it is not, but several major media outlets – like the New York Post, 7 News, and Unilad – describe it as being genuine and also refer to the university archives.
