Since time immemorial, people have claimed that dogs and cats don’t get along. I’m sure there’s some grain of truth to it, but time and time again, we’ve had it proven to us that dogs and cats have no problems living under the same roof.
It warms my heart every time this myth is disproved. I don’t know why exactly, but it just feels good to see different species get along and even be best pals. It gives me hope: if animals that are so different can get along, then surely people can as well.
When I was a kid, we had a cat called Tigger. As soon as he stuck his nose out the front door, our neighbor’s pup went crazy and started barking. They never really got along, except for when they were both exhausted – then they’d be content to ignore each other.
But as we know, cats and dogs can become best friends; especially if they live under the same roof and have the chance to really get to know each other.
A helping hand… or paw?
The clip below is a great example of just that. The German Shepherd Tennyson is going up the stairs with the kitten Moo. However, the little baby kitten has a hard time climbing the tall steps.
After watching him struggle with the steps, his giant buddy decides to help out.
I can’t stop grinning from ear to ear when watching this clip! It’s no wonder that this adorable video has more than 9 million views!
